Playtime with Daddy

This is always an interesting time in our house. As I have been doing this blog, it has opened my eyes and ears to the many happenings in our house! It's pretty funny and utterly crazy sometimes! Daddy loves to wrestle with the kids, they like it too...most of the time. The rule when Daddy started wrestling with Joseph is that Mommy is not involved, if you are done than be done and you cannot call out for help from Mommy cause I won't help.  They pretty much follow that rule, so I just go about my business and do what I can get done while chaos is in the background. When Daddy is wrestling the kids and putting them into "moves", they have come up with a phrase that pretty much means "mercy". Usually kids just say "Mercy!" when they want out of a move. My Dad just required a kiss and then let us go. Not in our house. Even Livy screams, "Marissy skyball judy verbrato!" Don't ask me, even Steve has no idea where it came from, they just yell it and he stops. It's usually only for a minute and then it starts up again. So goofy. Steve loves to give them the snake bite, foot holds, arm holds, the, "oh he can't get out of this one" move, no see hold, no breath hold....chaos just ensues. I just hear yelling and screaming, "Marissy skyball judy verbrato!" And then Steve going "OHHH!" cause someone cheap shots him in the stomach. Good times. lol Grace likes to cheer on the "wrestlingers" as she calls them.  

One of their calmer playtimes with Daddy is playing Doctor. Steve lays on the ground and Grace usually is Dr. Casey (a Dr. from urgent care that treated her onetime when she was about 3 and Grace has talked about her ever since) and it seems to always involve Steve getting shots. Tonight she took a non sharpened pencil and was administering shots cause he had "the diabetes". He was reacting to the shots and crying about it and Livy was holding his hand and telling him it would be ok. They then preceded to put a band aid on it which was a name tag and he was better then. Grace gets pretty serious about being Dr. Casey giving him complete instructions of what she is going to do to him to help and what he needs to do to get better. Livy just bustles around Steve copying what Grace says or just "taking care" of Steve.  I originally forgot to add that Daddy wasn't referring to her as Dr. Casey during the most recent playtime, he kept referring to her as Dr. Tooty Booty. She didn't skip a beat, she had a job to do...;)
