Our little one year old Emily!

One year old!
Emily turned one on Friday! I couldn't believe it! Time did fly by so fast! She was such a good girl, she knew it was her day! The other kids were SO excited that it was her birthday, they probably hyped her up so much she something was going on and she knew it was about her! :) She technically had a princess party but her cake was a "gift box" cake. When Daddy saw it he said, "Aww, cute!  She was our little gift!"  That she was. We had shredded turkey sandwiches, chips, veggies and dip, broccoli salad, raspberry salad and fruit.  She loved the food and even ate a second helping of food!! She got so many nice presents. And she literally loved them all!  One of the gifts my mom and dad gave her was a pretty rocking chair and it was like she knew it was hers right away! She sat in it, rocked in it, cozied up in it and even took a book and looked at it while sitting back in the chair! She was so excited and a trooper, she stayed to open all the gifts come gift opening time. She would help rip the paper and then make faces when she saw the gifts, she would hug the gifts and make a little "ooo" face as she opened them too!
Aww yeah, I got a lot of gifts!

When it came for cake time, it was getting a little later, so I didn't know how she would do.  She did great!! She started out slowly and then really got into it! She would eat it, work the crowd, and eat it some more! She knew she was on display and was hamming every minute of it up!! She would eat, clap, put it in her hair. She ended up eating pretty much the WHOLE CAKE!! Mimi and Grandpa Gardas said she took the cake for all the one year old's they have seen with their cake!! It was hilarious! I put her in the bathtub after and she ran around in her jammies for awhile. Finally it was like she was completely done, she wanted to nurse and then went right to bed with a lot of people still here! She slept until the next morning.  We played all the next day with the new toys, I think she partly thought it was still her birthday! :) We put together her wagon she got from Grandpa and Grandma Gardas and she "wee'd" the whole time I pulled her! I told Steve the next time we bust out new things we have to get the video camera out cause writing "wee" isn't the same as listening to her sweet little voice and seeing her pretty smile wee'ing all around the yard! :)
So fun to be one!
What a grin! What a  little ham!
Literally ALL DONE!
